experienced that feeling of panic - - an unexpected business meeting or
much needed vacation looms, and your favorite pet needs expert care.
Many years ago, I dropped my pet off for boarding on the way to the airport.
Much to my chagrin, when I toured her 'home' for the next seven days I
found rows of small cages in a windowless room. I'm not sure who was
more traumatized, my furry friend or me. The feeling of guilt was enormous.
I knew there had to be a better, more pet friendly boarding experience.
Now you don't have to worry, There's Someplace Like Home Dog Sitting
and Dog Daycare is at your service.
Experienced Care for Your Pet:
I was raised in the country on a thriving farm and have lived with animals
my entire life. I began dog sitting several years ago and have been in love
with it ever since.
Safe Surroundings with Room to Explore:
Your dog will be lovingly cared for in my pet
safe, centrally heated, air conditioned
bungalow which features a 6' cedar fenced
yard near Lake Harriet. My home offers
a quiet, loving retreat for your pet. There are
no children present.
I work from my home and will provide
your pet with all the attention he or she needs
throughout the day. Your dog will be walked
2-3 times a day through my quiet neighbor-
hood. There's also constant, supervised
access to my fenced yard - - the perfect
location for exploration, play and relaxation.
You Won't Miss a Thing
NEW! You won't miss a moment of your pet's life while you're out of town.
All 'Pet Parents' receive a Doggie Diary upon returning home with a
description of your pet's visit including photos. Want an update while you're
away? I'd be happy to email you a photo of your pet during your business
trip or vacation.
Reasonable Rates: (payable via cash or check.)
* $38 plus tax per day or partial day for each dog under 20 lbs.
* Rates and availability vary for dogs over 20 lbs. and all puppies under six
months vary. (A pre-stay tour/interview with their owner is required.)
Holidays and weekends fill fast so book early!

The Basics
* Your dog must be meet the following requirements prior to boarding:
- fully vaccinated (Distemper/Rabies Bordetella)
- treated for fleas/ticks/heartworm
- spayed or neutered
* Owners provide all food, treats, bones, medicine and dog crate (if
needed.)
* All items sent with your pet must be machine washable/dryable. We are
not responsible for shrinkage or damage of items during normal wash/dry
cycles.
* We recommend you send no more than three of your pet's toys. We have
a number of pet toys we are happy to share!
